Both Maine and New Hampshire authorities are investigating the death of a young man after his body was found in Lebanon Saturday afternoon.

An autopsy performed Sunday showed the man died from stab wounds. The Medical Examiner’s office is ruling the death as a homicide and hopes to be able to identify the man within the next two days.

The body was found by a woman walking along the Long Swamp Road around 4 IN THE AFTERNOON, according to public safety spokesman Steve McCausland.

The discovery of the man came just hours after a father in New Hampshire notified the Madbury, NH Police Department that his 18-year-old son had gone missing

McCausland says the man is believed to be in his 20s, but he had no identification on him.
