One man was taken to the emergency room after he was stabbed on Warren St. in Bangor Thursday night.

Bangor Police were called to the scene just before 11 p.m.  They say they are talking with a suspect.

Police say the man, who has not yet been identified, was stabbed in front of 209 Warren St. after an altercation in the residence driveway.  They say he suffered at least one stab injury to the abdomen, but his condition is currently unknown.

At this time police are talking to witnesses as they investigate the crime scene, which starts near the intersection of Warren and Sanford St.

“What we had is a stabbing,” says Lt. Paul Edwards with the Bangor Police Dept.  “We have a male suspect who fled the scene.  We have a male suspect who we are speaking with who we believe is part of this.  So right now there’s really no danger to the community, so to speak.  We are looking for anyone who may have information as to what they may have seen or heard here at 209 Warren St. this evening around 11 o’clock.”
