From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:
The upper level low and its associated pool of cold air aloft that moved southeast across Maine Friday and caused a good deal of fair weather clouds to pop-up continues to slide off to our east. With the upper low to our northeast and high pressure centered over southern Ontario slowly approaching New England Saturday the skies will average mostly to partly sunny throughout Maine. The temps will slowly warm this weekend, with highs Saturday reaching the low to mid 70s all across our region. The high will continue to produce mostly sunny skies throughout Maine Sunday, with temps continuing to slowly warm.
The work week will likely start out dry and milder Monday as the high drifts to our south and a southwest breeze develops across our region. The high will only slowly drift east off the Mid-Atlantic Coastline Tuesday and that means New England will likely see another fair and warm day as the southwest breeze continues to usher milder air into our region. A cold front drifting south out of Canada might bring some showers to Maine later Tuesday night or more likely Wednesday.
Saturday: Mixed sun and clouds, with high temps in the low to mid 70s.
