Two men from Washington County are charged with breaking into a garage in Pembroke and stealing things from inside.

Police were called to the Garnett Head Road Monday night.

A caretaker for the property reported a riding mower and other items stolen from the garage.

Authorities say they were able to find the stolen property just a few hours later at a home in Pleasant Point.

66-year old Clifford Mitchell of Pleasant Point and 35-year old Bradley Sapiel of Charlotte are charged with burglary and theft in connection with the crime.

They were arrested Tuesday.

Mitchell’s truck was also impounded as part of the investigation.

Both men are out on bail.
