Governor’s Restaurant Breaks Record Lobster Roll Sales

Governor’s Restaurant had it’s annual Lobster Roll Day Tuesday and they broke their previous record when it came to the amount of rolls sold.

Governor’s was offering the sandwich special for $5.55, in honor of its 55th birthday.

Throngs of people lined up for the deal and many more hit the drive-thrus in Old Town and Bangor.

The restaurant goal was to sell more than 10-thousand lobster rolls company-wide. They beat that, shelling out more than 15,000.

“At Governor’s, we try to get better everyday,” says Jason Sprague, an employee at the Ellsworth location.

There are six Governor’s locations in Maine.
