Loud noises from fireworks often scare dogs, causing them to run off.

More dogs enter shelters as lost or stray on the 4th of July than any other day of the year.

To prevent this from happening to your pet, the Bangor Humane Society is hosting a microchip clinic this Saturday.

Staff will be available at the humane society on Mount Hope Avenue from eleven to four to microchip your pet.

It costs fifteen dollars.

One-year-rabies vaccinations will also be available for fifteen bucks.

No appointment is necessary.
