FREEPORT, Maine (AP) — A 59-year-old Limington man has died in a construction accident when the forks of a loading vehicle fell on him at a Freeport construction site.
Police say Scott W. MacDonald was assisting the operator of the vehicle when the accident occurred. WLBZ-TV reported that the accident occurred Tuesday morning on Main Street where Coastal Landscape, Construction and Snow Services was installing granite steps.
Officials told WLBZ that MacDonald died instantly. Firefighters told the station an OSHA investigator will investigate the cause of the accident.
Two other people were injured, treated and released.
