A convicted sex offender from Linneus is going to prison for ten years for possessing child pornography.

31-year-old Ronald Trecartin was sentenced in federal court in Bangor Tuesday.

He pleaded guilty in November.

Trecartin was also ordered to serve 20 years of supervised release once he’s out of prison.

Investigators searched his home in the fall of 2012 and found two computers and a handheld video game console with images of child porn.

Trecartin was previously convicted in Houlton for exposing himself to a group of children.
