From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

The stretch of beautiful spring weather that we’ve been experiencing the past few days has come to an end and we’re in for a gray and damp stretch for the remainder of the work week. We’ll see plenty of clouds and some scattered showers throughout the day as a cold front moves into the state. With clouds and showers in the forecast, temperatures will be cooler, actually below average, with highs in the low to mid-60s over the interior upper 50s to low 60s this afternoon. Scattered showers will continue through the night tonight with areas of fog and patchy drizzle too. Nighttime lows will be in the low to mid-50s for most locales.

An area of low pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere will gradually push towards the area Thursday keeping us under the clouds and scattered showers throughout the day. Another area of low pressure is forecast to pass to our south keeping the bulk of its rainfall to our south as well. However, the northern fringe of the storm will graze coastal and Downeast areas with some steadier rain Thursday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be near or below average with highs in the 60s to near 70° Thursday afternoon. Showers will remain in the forecast for Friday as upper level low pressure crosses the state. Skies will begin to clear out later Friday night and early Saturday morning leading to a brighter and milder weekend. A ridge of high pressure sliding into the area this weekend will bring us back to nice, springtime weather for Saturday and Sunday.
