From the WABI-TV5 Forecast Center:
High pressure will continue to control the weather across New England today. The high will bring fair skies to Maine today with highs this afternoon in the mid 70s to low 80s inland, but closer to 70 along the coastline. In general the high will continue to bring fair and mild weather to Maine Tuesday as it slowly moves east off the Mid-Atlantic Coastline. Skies Tuesday will average partly sunny, with just the risk of a few late day showers up north as a front slowly approaches from the west.
A storm aloft and the slowly approaching cold front will bring variably cloudy skies to Maine Wednesday, with an increased chance of showers developing. The upper low and frontal system will very slowly cross the Northeast Thursday and Friday and that will cause occasional showers to fall throughout New England both days. The combination of clouds, showers and an onshore breeze will help hold high temps in the 60s both Thursday and Friday.
Today: Partly to mostly sunny, with high temps in the mid 70s to low 80s, except near 70 along the coastline.
Tuesday: Variably cloudy, with a few scattered showers possible north and high temps in 70s to low 80s.
Wednesday: More clouds than sun, with scattered showers likely and high temps in the mid 60s to low 70s.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with occasional showers likely and high temps in the 60s.
Friday: Mostly cloudy, with occasional showers likely and high temps in the 60s.
