From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:
High pressure will sit on top of New England today and bring the entire state a good deal of sunshine. Under mostly sunny skies and after a very cool start to the day the temps will warm back up to the mid 60s to low 70s which is normal for the later part of May, with the coolest readings being found along the coastline. Another upper level disturbance and surface storm will drift into New England later Friday from southern Canada and bring a fresh round of showers to our region. The showers should taper off later Friday night or Saturday morning as the upper low continues to drift off to the southeast of New England and high pressure approaches our region from the west. High pressure moving into the Northeast should bring bright skies and mild temps to all of the Pine Tree State Sunday. The high will produce fair skies across Maine early Monday, but an approaching weak cold front might kick off some showers here later in the day.
Today: Mostly sunny and pleasant, with high temps in the mid 60s to low 70s.
Friday: Partly to mostly cloudy, with developing showers and high temps in the 60s.
Saturday: Possible early showers then partly cloudy, with high temps in the 60s.
Sunday: Mostly sunny and milder, with high temps in the low to mid 70s.
Monday: Partly sunny, with possible scattered showers later in the day and high temps in the upper 60s to mid 70s.
