Wellness Wednesday: Homemade Granola Bars 

Mary Lavanway from Hannaford shows us how to make healthy homemade granola bars.

Homemade Kashi Bars

Servings: Makes 18 bars


3 cups Kashi GOLEAN Cereal

1 cup oats

¼ cup dried cranberries

¼ cup golden raisins

1 cup sliced almonds

½ cup honey

¼ cup brown sugar

¾ cup SunButter (made from sunflower seeds)

1 teaspoon vanilla





  1. Prepare 9×13-inch sheet pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Mix cereal, oats, dried cranberries, raisins, and almonds in large bowl. Set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, mix honey and brown sugar. Bring to a boil while stirring. Add Sunbutter and vanilla. Stir to blend well.
  4. Pour over cereal and fruit mixture. Stir, mixing well. Press firmly into pan.
  5. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars. Store in airtight conatiner.
