From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
The cold front that brought us scattered showers and some strong to severe thunderstorms during our Memorial Day sits to our south this morning. Cooler air will move in behind the front making for a much cooler day today with below average temperatures expected for highs. We’ll see partly to mostly cloudy skies today with highs only a couple degrees either side of 60°. An area of low pressure is forecast to drop southward from southwestern Quebec down through New York State during the day. This will give us a chance for scattered showers mainly for areas from Bangor south and west while areas to the north and east see drier and brighter weather. Clouds will remain with us through the night tonight along with the chance for a few scattered showers.
We’ll start the day Wednesday with some clouds and a few lingering showers. High pressure is forecast to build in from the north during the day which will help to clear us out from north to south as the day progresses. Skies will turn partly to mostly sunny from north to south by late morning through the afternoon with temperatures topping off in the 60s for highs. High pressure will give us a beautiful day Thursday with sunshine and highs in the 60s to near 70°. The next round of wet weather will arrive on Friday.
Rest of Today: partly to mostly cloudy and cooler. Scattered showers possible mainly for areas from Bangor south and west. Highs between 57°-64°. Northeast wind around 10 MPH becoming east.
