The weather cooperated for Monday’s Maine Troop Greeters Fundraiser.

Once again, Sunbury Village put on a bbq, but this year, attendees had a view.

The Bangor facility added an antique and classic car show to the menu.

There were vehicles representing all parts of the automobile timeline.

This is the second year Sunbury Village has sponsored the event to benefit the Troop Greeters.

“They give 100%.,” says Deborah Wisdom, Community Sales and Marketing Leader for Sunbury Village. “They don’t take a cent from anyone for themselves. Every penny goes toward those Armed Forces that they welcome.”

“It just goes to show that there’s still a bunch of wonderful people out there that really do care for our troops,” adds Chuck Knowlen, Chairman of the Maine Troop Greeters.

The event continued all afternoon with the singing of the Star Spangled Banner, a raffle drawing for a flat screen television, and dancing to the Nightingale Band.
