From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
There isn’t a lot of change in the current forecast. A slow moving frontal system will continue to push towards New England over the next few days. There are still plenty of clouds and a few showers (mainly over eastern areas) as of early afternoon. The showers will continue to taper off and move east of the region early. The atmosphere should dry out a bit this afternoon allowing for some breaks of sunshine to develop. Temperatures will be at or below average today with highs topping off a couple degrees either side of 60°, coolest along the coast due to an onshore wind. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy tonight and we’ll likely see some fog developing during the night as well.
The slow moving frontal system will remain to our west on Thursday and Friday with much of the same weather for us each of the days. Expect variably cloudy with a few showers possible but the majority of each day looks dry. A milder air mass will be in place for Thursday and Friday allowing temperatures to climb into the mid-60s along the coast and upper 60s to low 70s inland. The system will finally move into New England this weekend bringing us a better chance of showers Saturday and Sunday.
Rest of Today: variably cloudy. Scattered showers possible mainly early this afternoon. Highs between 56°-66°, coolest along the coast. South/southeast wind 5-15 MPH.
Tonight: partly to mostly cloudy. Patchy fog. Lows between 45°-51°. South wind 5-10 MPH.
Thursday: variably cloudy with a shower possible. Highs between 64°-74°, coolest along the coast. South wind 10-15 MPH.
Friday: variably cloudy with a few showers possible. Highs between 64°-74°, coolest along the coast.
Saturday: mostly cloudy with showers likely mainly for areas south and west of Bangor. Highs in the 60s to near 70°.
Sunday: mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Highs in the mid-50s to mid-60s.
