From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

A weak disturbance is forecast to cross the state today. This will bring some clouds and a few afternoon showers to northern and eastern parts of the state while the rest of the state sees plenty of sunshine. Cooler air will start to move into northern Maine today creating a wide range in temperatures from north to south across the state this afternoon. The combination of more clouds and the cooler air moving in will keep areas north and east of Dover-Foxcroft and Lincoln in the 50s to low 60s for highs while areas from Dover-Foxcroft to Lincoln south and west across the rest of the state see temperatures climbing to the upper 60s to mid-70s this afternoon. Any clouds and lingering showers this evening will clear out for the night tonight. It’ll be cooler in all locations tonight with lows in the 30s to low 40s.

High pressure will build in and provide us with a beautiful day Tuesday. Expect plenty of sunshine Tuesday with highs topping off in the upper 50s to mid-60s. We’ll see clouds moving into the area Wednesday as a frontal boundary pushes its way towards New England. High pressure will still be in control and help to keep us dry and keep any showers associated with the approaching frontal system well to our west. The ridge of high pressure will slowly move east of the region allowing the frontal system to continue slowly working towards New England. As this happens, we’ll start seeing showers entering our forecast mainly for northern and western parts of the state on Thursday then for all locations on Friday into the weekend.

Rest of Today: partly to mostly sunny, more clouds north and east of Bangor. A few showers possible north and east of Bangor. Highs in the 50s to low 60s north and east of Dover-Foxcroft and Lincoln while temperatures top off in the upper 60s to mid-70s elsewhere. Winds will become northwest 5-15 MPH.

Tonight: mostly clear and cooler. Lows between 32°-42°. North wind 5-10 MPH.

Tuesday: mostly sunny. Highs between 59°-66°. Northeast wind 5-10 MPH.

Wednesday: mostly cloudy. Highs between 57°-65°.

Thursday: variably cloudy with a shower possible. Highs in the 60s to near 70°.

Friday: mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Highs in the 60s to low 70s.
