Saturday marks the start of the summer concert series at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion.

The “Rise Above Fest” features several rock bands including Seether.

The South-Africa based band is in town already, giving back to the host community.

On Friday night, they signed autographs for fans at Bull Moose Music in Bangor.

All the money raised benefits “SAVE” — an organization dedicated to suicide prevention and education.

It is a cause close their hearts.

Seether lead singer Shaun Morgan said, “It is something that is becoming quite the epidemic amongst young children, as young as 8 and mostly between 12 and 15 I guess. Not to mention the returning vets from the war. It seems like a lot of people don’t have anywhere to turn.”
