From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:
High pressure both at the surface and aloft will slowly build into the New England today and Thursday and bring brighter and milder conditions to our region. Under partly to mostly sunny skies the temps will climb into the low to mid 60s this afternoon. The atmosphere will continue to slowly warm under mostly sunny skies Thursday as high temps climb into the 60s to near 70. The high will slowly slip off to our east Friday and that will allow clouds to gradually build back into our region after a partly to mostly start. High temps Friday will likely climb into the 60s to near 70, with an afternoon seabreeze likely keeping temps coolest along the coastline.
A storm moving east from the Great Lakes region will likely push a warm front through New England Saturday. The warm front will produce a period of showers throughout Maine as it crosses the Pine Tree State. If the warm front slides through Maine during the morning hours the afternoon temps will likely climb into the mid 60s to near 70, otherwise temps will hold in the 50s to low 60s. Mother’s day will likely become partly sunny and a west to southwest breeze on the backside of the warm front will allow temps to reach the mid 60s to mid 70s in our region.
Today: Partly to mostly sunny, with high temps in the upper 50s to mid 60s.
Thursday: More sun than clouds, with high temps in the 60s to near 70.
Friday: Partly sunny then increasing clouds, with high temps in the mid 60s to near 70.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with showers likely and high temps in the 60s to near 70.
Sunday: Partly sunny and mild, with high temps in the mid 60s to mid 70s from north to south.
