A woman from Bangor accused of stealing from a store in the Bangor Mall, then getting in a fight involving a knife, is in jail on $21,000 bail.

50-year-old Kimberly Kenney is charged with robbery in that case.

She made her first court appearance Friday where a judge set bail at $20,000.

Police say Kenney stole merchandise from J. C. Penney Wednesday night and when she was stopped by a security officer, she alleged pulled out a knife.

Police say when the officer tried to get the knife from her, Kenney was cut in the hand, then ran off and got into a car.

She was picked up on Ohio Street.

The District Attorney’s office says Kenney’s also charged with theft, forgery and misuse of credit identification for separate incidents.

Bail on those cases was set at $1,000.
