Police Say Belfast Crash Suspected to be Drug Related

Updated 9 months ago

Police say a crash in Belfast last night may be drug related.

It happened at the intersection of Route 1 and the on ramp to High Street.

Police say the driver of a car lost control before the crash, hitting guardrails and a bridge abutment on Route 1, before striking a pick-up at a stop sign.

Witnesses removed the woman from her car, believing it was on fire.

Police say she was not breathing and CPR was started.

We’re told the unidentified woman is in critical condition at a Bangor hospital.

The driver of the pick-up was treated and released at a local hospital.
