The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office has located the driver involved in an accident in Trenton early Tuesday morning.
We’re told around 3:30 Wednesday morning a car left Route 3 and took out a utility pole, then the driver left the scene on foot.
He was found hours later.
Deputies tell us the Bangor man was transported to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
We’re told his injuries are not life threatening.
Charges are pending.
The crash knocked out power to about 1200 customers and closed down the Bar Harbor Road for hours.
“It appears the power was locally affected, some residents here on Route 3 on the West side. But other than that it looks like power to the north is fine, and also power to the south towards the island is also okay,” said Trenton Volunteer Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Heckman.
According to Emera Maine’s website, they expect power to be fully restored by 12:30pm.
The road has reopened to one lane of traffic at this time.
