Waterville Police are asking for the public’s help to catch a man they say robbed a local jewelry store.

Police say a man stole a pair of wedding bands valued at $5,000 from the Tardif jewelry store on Main Street Tuesday.

The man is described as being:

* In his mid-30′s
* Roughly six feet tall
* Weighing 200
* Dark hair and a mustache

At the time of the theft he was wearing a dark blue jacket with “Dysarts” written on the back.

Police say one of the rings stolen has a wide band and the other has a high arch and the insignia, “L. Tardif”, and “Jabell” stamped inside it.
