The Bangor City Council discussed a new ordinance for restaurants, bar, taverns, and lounges.
They’ll be working on adopting new definitions for liquor licenses.
It’s an effort to make the licenses more clear and in line with state license requirements.
They’ll also be changing a hole in the existing city code that left out the term restaurants and only included bars, taverns, and lounges.
It was referred to the planning board meeting at the end of May.
The city council also approved a liquor license for a new Mexican restaurant in Bangor.
Las Talapas is set to open in a couple of months where the old Ninety Nine restaurant was.
