From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

Low pressure moving through the Great Lakes will continue to bring a warm front towards Maine today. This will bring us periods of rain especially from late morning thru the evening hours, the steadiest and heaviest of which will fall over areas north of Bangor while the rest of the state sees the rain more showery in nature. Temperatures will be cold enough this morning so that northern areas see some light snow or mix before changing to rain by noontime or so. It looks like the warm front will stay south of the state during the day which means that with the clouds and occasional rain in place, temperatures will be cooler with highs only in the 40s in most spots. The warm front is expected to push northward through the state tonight, gradually bringing the rain to an end from south to north.

With the warm front to our north on Monday, southerly winds will usher a mild airmass into the region with highs expected to top off in the mid-60s to around 70° in most locales Monday afternoon. With winds out of the south, temperatures will be a bit cooler along the coast where highs will likely stay in the mid-upper 50s. We’ll likely start out with some areas of fog Monday morning but as that burns off, we’ll see skies turning partly sunny. A cold front is expected to move into the state later Tuesday and Tuesday night. This will bring us some more wet weather Tuesday especially during the afternoon and into the overnight hours. Much cooler weather will move in behind the front for Wednesday with highs only reaching the upper 30s to mid-40s. The good news is that the chilly air doesn’t last too long with more seasonable temperatures coming back on Thursday.

Today: mostly cloudy with periods of rain developing mainly late morning thru the evening. Rain will be steadiest and heaviest north of Bangor. Some light snow and/or mixed precipitation possible over northern areas during the morning. Highs in the 40s. Light winds will become southeast 5-15 MPH.

Monday: areas of fog during the morning then partly sunny. Mild with highs in the 60s to near 70° inland, upper 50s to near 60° along the coast.

Tuesday: becoming cloudy with scattered showers developing. Steadier rain possible during the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Wednesday: partly to mostly sunny and much cooler. Highs in the upper 30s to mid-40s.

Thursday: partly to mostly sunny and seasonable. Highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.
