Dedham Students Continue Musical Tradition with Peter Pan

Updated 5 months ago

Students in Dedham went to Neverland Friday.

The middle school’s production of Peter Pan took the stage.

It’s part of a musical tradition there.

The entire school has worked for 13 years together on the shows.

“Make no mistake, it’s really, really hard work, but when the curtain opens and you see your parents and friends it’s all worth it,” said director and teacher, Linda Christie.

“The arts are just important to us as math, science, and reading. We try to build a well rounded community if students so that when they go off to high school, they just fit right in,” said Principal Kathy Lawson.

There are two shows Saturday at the Dedham School at 3pm and 7pm.

Everyone’s invited.

Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $4 for students.

All proceeds go to help with next year’s production.
