From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
A ridge of high pressure will slide east of the region today. South/southwest winds on the backside of the high will bring us a seasonable afternoon. Winds will be gusty again with gusts to 25-30 MPH possible. We’ll see partly to mostly sunny skies today with highs warming to the mid-40s to low 50s from north to south across the state. Clouds will thicken up this evening with showers possible after midnight as a weak cold front crosses the state. Temperatures will remain above freezing for most locales with lows in the mid-30s to near 40° so showers will stay in liquid form. The rain showers won’t amount to much with only a few hundredths to around .25” expected.
The cold front is forecast to clear the state early Friday. We’ll likely start the day with lingering clouds and a few lingering showers especially Downeast and along the coastline but as the front moves offshore, it will take the clouds and showers with it and give way to brightening skies from northwest to southeast across the state. Temperatures will be mainly in the 50s for highs on Friday. Low pressure is forecast to pass to our south and east on Saturday, far enough offshore so that we stay dry for the start of the weekend. Temperatures will be in the 50s to near 60° Saturday afternoon. Milder temperatures are forecast to move in later in the weekend and early next week with highs possibly reaching the mid-60s on Monday.

Friday: a few morning showers possible then brightening skies late morning through the afternoon. Highs between 49°-57°. Winds will become west/northwest 5-10 MPH.
Saturday: mix of sun and clouds. Highs between 53°-60°.
Sunday: variably cloudy with scattered showers possible mainly for northern areas. Mild with highs in the mid-50s to low 60s.
