From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:
Plan on bright and and chilly weather across Maine today as low pressure continues to lift north through eastern Canada and high pressure approaches from the west. A gusty northwest breeze today will usher a slightly colder than normal airmass back into New England. As the high moves offshore a southwest breeze will develop in our area Thursday and temps will begin to warm back up to seasonable levels. An approaching weak cold front may bring a few showers to parts of Northern New England Friday, but otherwise skies will average partly cloudy and temps will climb into the 50s across much of our region.
The cold front will likely stall just south of New England Friday and a small storm riding along the front early Saturday might bring a few showers to Maine as we start the weekend. Weak high pressure will build back into our region later Saturday as the storm slides off to our northeast. The high will bring generally fair weather to Maine later Saturday through Sunday, with temps running near normal later Saturday and a bit above normal Sunday.
Today: Partly cloudy and breezy, with high temps in the upper 30s north and 40s south.
Thursday: Partly cloudy, with high temps in the mid 40s to low 50s.
Friday: Variably cloudy, with possible scattered showers and high temps in the 50s.
Saturday: Variably cloudy, with a few scattered showers and high temps in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Sunday: Partly sunny, with high temps mostly in the low to mid 50s.
