Movie buffs are in for a special treat this weekend in Bangor.
The Maine Jewish Film Festival is coming to the Penobscot Theatre.
Four films will be featured, including a comedic thriller, a political thriller and two documentaries.
The festival has traveled to towns and cities around Maine, and Bangor is this year’s last stop.
“Any film lover would get something out of this weekend. They’re films that you wouldn’t normally see in Bangor. Some independent films. An Academy Award nominee for best documentary is what we’re kicking off with. Anybody who’s a film buff and wants to learn about awesome films and see something that they wouldn’t normally see,” said Brad LaBree, Community Engagement Coordinator for the Penobscot Theatre.
The festival is Saturday and Sunday at the Penobscot Theatre on Main Street.
Tickets to each film are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors and students.
