From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
Skies will continue to clear out Downeast while the rest of the state enjoys plenty of sunshine this afternoon. Northerly winds will remain strong today averaging 10-20 MPH and gusting to 30 MPH at times which will add an extra chill to the air. Temperatures are expected to be seasonable this afternoon with highs in the upper 30s to mid-40s but feeling more like it’s in the mid-20s to around 30° at times with the wind factored in. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy tonight with lows bottoming out in the mid-teens to near 20° north and low to mid-20s elsewhere.
A weakening cold front is forecast to move towards the state on Wednesday and will likely give us just a few clouds during the day but otherwise we’ll see plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will top off in the upper 30s to low 40s for highs Wednesday afternoon. Thursday looks good with high pressure building back into the region. We’ll see partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 30s to mid-40s Thursday afternoon. High pressure dominates Friday’s forecast with sunshine and highs mainly in the 40s. Our next round of unsettled weather will arrive Friday night and continue Saturday with mixed precipitation over northern areas and rain for the rest of the state.
