From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

Weak low pressure is forecast to pass just north of the state today, allowing milder air to move into the region and giving us some snow, mix and rain this afternoon. Plan on scattered mixed precipitation changing to rain north and scattered rain showers elsewhere for the rest of the day. Highs will top off in the upper 30s to low 40s this afternoon. Lingering showers will end early tonight as the storm pulls a cold front across the state. Rain showers may change back to snow over northern areas before ending. Lows will remain mild tonight with temperatures only bottoming out in the low to mid-30s for most spots. Skies will clear out after midnight tonight as high pressure starts moving into the region.

High pressure builds into the area Saturday giving us a nice start to the weekend with sunshine and seasonable temperatures. Saturday’s highs will reach the low and mid-40s. Clouds will start to move in later Saturday afternoon and evening as our next storm approaches from the south. Low pressure passing to our south on Sunday will bring us snow and mixed precipitation for the northern half of the state with rain elsewhere. Precipitation could be heavy at times. As a result, we could see several inches of snow up north with as much as 2-2.5” of rain elsewhere. Heavy rain could create some flooding issues in poor drainage areas and with some of the area rivers and streams. We’ll keep you posted on what to expect as the storm gets closer to the area. Mix and rain will linger into Monday mainly during the morning with skies brightening during the afternoon as the storm pulls away from the region. We should see drier and pleasant weather in the forecast for Tuesday with highs in the 40s.
