Increasing Clouds Today, Snow Likely Wednesday

From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

High pressure will slide east of the region this morning giving us a mostly sunny start to the day. Clouds will gradually increase this afternoon as low pressure approaches from the south. Low pressure is forecast to rapidly strengthen off the east coast of the U.S. today and Wednesday. The latest track takes the storm east of New England and towards the eastern tip of Nova Scotia. This will keep the bulk of the storm just offshore and just graze eastern Massachusetts as well as central and eastern Maine with moderate to heavy snow Downeast and lighter snow or snow showers elsewhere. Our weather will be quiet for Thursday as a ridge of high pressure slides into the area. Weak low pressure is forecast to pass just north of the state on Friday giving us some mixed rain and snow showers. Milder air will move in for the end of the week too with temps on Friday topping off in the upper 30s to mid-40s.

Today: increasing clouds. Not as cold. Highs between 25°-32°.

Wednesday: mostly cloudy with snow likely, heaviest over Downeast areas. Highs in the mid-20s to mid-30s.

Thursday: increasing clouds. Highs in the mid-20s to mid-30s.

Friday: mostly cloudy with mix and rain showers. Milder with highs in the upper 30s to mid-40s.
