Solon Man Accused Of Terrorizing His Wife Held Without Bail

A Solon man accused of strangling his wife, then repeatedly violating bail conditions by threatening her has gone before a judge yet again.

Jason Lawrence, 36, has been ordered to be held without bail. District Attorney Maeghan Maloney says earlier this month, Lawrence beat and choked his wife. He was arrested and freed on $1,000 cash bail. While out on bail, Lawrence violated the conditions of his release and was once again arrested. A judge added an additional $1,000 to his bail and he was once again released.

According to Maloney, Lawrence called his wife at work yesterday and threatened to kill her. The Somerset County Sheriffs were notified and Lawrence was arrested again. This time Maloney says Lawrence will remain in jail until at least April 8 when he’s next due in court.

He’s charged with aggravated assault, terrorizing and multiple counts of violating conditions of release.
