A couple from Danforth charged with trafficking methamphetamine made their first court appearance Monday.
39-year-old Allen Richardson and 30-year-old Tabbatha Osnoe were arrested over the weekend after investigators say they found evidence of meth cooking in the couple’s burned out home.
The fire was reported Friday morning, a short time after their 5-month old son was pronounced dead at a local medical facility.
An autopsy was performed, but further tests are needed to determine how the baby died.
According to court papers, Richardson admitted to drug agents he had been making meth for the past 6 to 7 months and would sell his batches for $100 to $500 dollars; Richardson also said he had cooked meth more than a thousand times.
Court documents also say Osnoe told agents the cooking had been going on in the home for about a month, but she was not home when Richardson was making meth; she also said she bought ingredients to give to Richardson to make meth.
Bail for Richardson was set at $10,000 dollars; Osnoe’s is $5,000 dollars.
