A Palmyra woman has pleaded no contest to stealing $20,000 from a community center in Newport.

Prosecutors say Jaime Meservey skimmed the money in cash deposits from the Newport Recreation Center from November of 2008 to January 2010.

The plea agreement calls for 6 months in jail, but Meservey can argue for less when she is sentenced. She must also pay back the money.

Her name is Meservey? Like Cher?

The article clearly states her name is Jaime Meservey. Welcome to the land of the literate.

No because it gives hardly any information. When this article was first
published her first name was not posted. It was added after both me and this person commented.

    Yeah this article was terrible.
