Updated 11 months ago

An Exeter man accused of slashing the throat of a man in Garland Sunday morning was in court Monday.

49-year-old Edward Soucie is charged with aggravated assault.

Police were told Soucie first asked the victim to kill him but when the victim refused Soucie lunged at him and cut his throat.

We’re told Soucie was very drunk, and doesn’t remember the attack.

He’s being held on $20,000 cash bail, and is due back in court in May.

hes being charged with just aggravated assault.. that should be murder regardless of being drunk not if you get behind the wheel of a car drunk.. you get charged with murder.. so whats the difference

I agree. A reckless homicide charge is more appropriate.
