Cold Today, Light Snow Tuesday Morning

Much colder temperatures are on the way for the second half of the weekend following a weak cold front that is moving through the state today. Things will become milder behind a warm front as we get into the day on Tuesday. It’ll be seasonable Wednesday and cold for Thursday.

Our weather pattern is starting to become a bit more interesting as well, with some snow possible in the next five day period. It looks like the first chance of any precip will be Monday night into Tuesday, with light snow changing to rain by Tuesday morning. By Wednesday afternoon a low pressure system will move into the area, bringing the chance for a potentially large winter storm. Snow should wrap up by Thursday afternoon.

Sunday: Highs 24° – 30° with mostly sunny skies.

Monday: Highs 30° – 36° with partly sunny skies and increasing clouds in the afternoon. Light snow develops overnight.

Tuesday: Highs 38° – 44° with a mix of light rain and snow early in the morning with partially clearing skies by afternoon.

Wednesday: Highs 29° – 36° with partly to mostly cloudy skies and snow developing in the early afternoon. Snow continues overnight.

Thursday: Highs 18° – 25° with snow ending in the early afternoon.
