Chili and chowder lovers gathered in Bangor to judge who has the best around.
The Bangor Fire Department held their 2nd Annual Chili and Chowder Cook-Off at the Sea Dog.
The public paid ten bucks to try samples from professionals and amateurs.
They voted on their favorites.
All the proceeds from the night went the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Maine.
Organizers were pleased to see so many come out for the fun.
“A tremendous turnout from the business community entering and the public by attending. It’s just been unbelievable,” said Bangor Firefighter Casey Perry.
Several local celebrity judges helped out, including TV-5′s Joy Hollowell and Todd Simcox.
Organizers say they raised more than $2,000.
The firefighter’s choice for the best of the night went to Season’s.
