A former Calais man convicted of sex crimes against two teenagers is going to prison for five years.

28-year-old Seth Larkin was also ordered Tuesday to serve four years probation.

He was convicted in January of gross sexual assault and unlawful sexual contact.

He also pleaded guilty Tuesday to probation violations for writing letters while in jail to a witness in the case.

Last May, Larkin forced himself on an 18-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl.

They were visiting Larkin’s former girlfriend and spending the night at the apartment he shared with her.

Prosecutors asked for a 20-year-sentence based on Larkin’s violent criminal history.
