An eleven-year-old boy from Harrington accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy made his first court appearance Tuesday.
The boy is charged with gross sexual assault and assault.
Both were students at Harrington Elementary last fall when the 11-year-old allegedly molested the other boy during a birthday party.
Dozens of parents protested in January, wondering why the 11-year-old hadn’t been removed from the school.
The boy has since been taken out of the building but is still getting an education through the school district.
The judge set a number of conditions for him Tuesday, including no contact with the alleged victim or two witnesses.
He’s due back in court in April.
The 8-year-old and his sister are now enrolled in a private school.
