Kids in Southwest Harbor are encourage to practice their reading with the help of a four-legged friend.

Connie the Reader Dog is a 10-year-old Corgi. She’s a regular at the Southwest Harbor Public Library.

Her owner says Connie’s a great listener and loves to cuddle up and hear a good book.

Children who are learning to read can sign up for times to practice with Connie.

She’s usually there Wednesday afternoons.

For more information, call the library at 244-7065.
