From the TV 5 Forecast Center:
An upper level low pressure system spinning over northern and eastern Canada combined with strong high pressure over the Midwest will usher colder into New England resulting in below average temperatures for the next several days. A few disturbances wrapping around the upper low are forecast to move through northern New England providing us with clouds and the chance for snow showers on their way through.
Moisture wrapping around the upper low will move through the state today giving us varying amounts of sun and clouds. The colder air that we’ve been talking about has now moved into the area and therefore temperatures will be below average today with highs ranging from the mid-teens to mid-20s from north to south across the state.
A weak area of low pressure is forecast to move through the state later in the day Wednesday bringing us some snow showers and possibly a period of steadier light snow in spots. Accumulations of a dusting to 1” are possible by later in the evening. Another disturbance will move through on Thursday, again bringing us some snow showers or maybe a period of steadier light snow with accumulations of a dusting to 1” possible by later in the evening. Temperatures will be in the upper teens to mid-20s for highs both Wednesday and Thursday. Sunshine returns to our forecast Friday as high pressure noses into the area. Temperatures will be a bit colder with highs in the teens to around 20° Friday afternoon.
