A Cherryfield man was taken into custody Monday night, after state police say he led them on a high speed chase then ran off into the woods.
27-year old Alonzo Harvey is charged with driving to endanger as well as possession of marijuana, among other offenses.
State police tell us they tried pulling him over in Cherryfield last night around 9:45 p.m., for speeding.
But Harvey allegedly took off instead.
State police say the chase lasted 10 miles, with speeds reaching 90 miles per hour, before Harvey ended up crashing the car, then running off into the woods.
A K-9 tracked his scent for about three miles, before finding Harvey.
He was booked at the Washington County jail.
