From the WABI-TV5 & CW Forecast Center:
High pressure will bring brighter and milder weather to our region today with high temps reaching the mid 30s to low 40s from north to south. The high will move offshore tonight and clouds ahead of a warm front will begin to push back into the Pine Tree State. The warm front will be associated with a rather strong storm system lifting north through the Great Lakes Region Friday. The warm front will bring a wintry mix of precipitation to Maine later tonight into the morning hours on Friday. Most of the mixed precipitation across Maine will change to rain later Friday morning and afternoon from south to north as the warm front lifts north through the state. A trailing cold front will bring another round of mostly rain showers to our region later in the afternoon and evening. Cooler air will slowly begin to filter back into New England over the weekend as the cold front slides offshore later Friday night and a northwest breeze picks up.
