The UMaine Black Bears went pink Sunday–literally. All for a good cause.

Sunday was the annual Play4Kay basketball game.

The women’s team donned pink jerseys for the game, and coach Richard Barron dyed his hair pink–only to shave it all off after the game.

This was all done in hopes of raising $10,000 for cancer research.

“My point is that every single one of you does things everyday to touch people’s lives – and you might not know what the ramifications of your actions are, but they are profound and they are meaningful,” said Barron.

Hundreds of people turned out for the game, many of them dressed in pink as well.
