Senior Spotlight: Marketplace Enrollment

Dyan Walsh from Eastern Area Agency on Aging, was in to talk about the Marketplace enrollment.

Here a few key points that Dyan gave to us this morning.

Open enrollment ends on March 31, 2014.

The minimum penalty for non-enrollment in 2014 is $95. It does increase depending on someone’s income. Many people will pay 1% of their taxable income rather than the $95 if they go uninsured.

For tools or resources to help you navigate the Marketplace you can go to enroll207.com, 211, Washington Hancock Community Agency, Federally Qualified Health Centers, your local area agency on aging, orĀ healthcare.gov

There is free in person help for everyone, even in rural areas.
