Winslow Police Chief Steps Down

The chief of the Winslow Police Department has stepped down from that job.

Winslow’s Town Manager Michael Heavener said that Chief Jeff Fenlason resigned last Friday to pursue other opportunities.

Fenlason spent the last 12 years the police chief in Winslow.

Heavener, who served as the police chief for six years prior to becoming town manager, will take over on an interim basis while the town council searches for a permanent replacement. Heavener says other members of the department could temporarily see their workloads increase while town officials search for a new chief.
