Two people were killed in two unrelated snowmobiling accidents late Friday night. Game wardens say 34-year-old Leonardo Rodrigues of Everette, MA was riding in Byron at a high speed when he hit a parked snow plow head on. Rodrigues was transported by Life Flight to Central Maine Medical Center, Wardens say he died while in the operating room.

Authorities say alcohol was a factor in the crash. Three other people were with him at the time, they were not injured, but one person did get an OUI.

State Police say less than an hour later, another person was killed while snowmobiling in Dixfield.
