Hermon students donated pounds of pennies Thursday.

Some of the kids got a deputy and firefighter escort to Danforth’s in Hermon.

There, the elementary schoolers dropped off more than 260 pounds of pennies they collected for Q106.5 Annual Egg Ride this weekend.

It adds up to about $500.

It will go to the Pine Tree Camp in Rome, which is a summer camp for kids and adults with developmental disabilities.

Hermon Middle schoolers also dropped off cash for the cause.

You can still help, stop by Danforth’s on Route 2 in Hermon ¬†from 2-to-9pm Friday

The egg ride is Saturday.

Riders wear snow suits that they fill up with raw eggs.

T-V 5’s Todd Simcox and Wayne Harvey will be going along for the messy ride.
