A nurse from St. Albans is accused of stealing drugs from patients.

Annette Towle, 55, worked at the Sanfield Rehabilitation Center in Hartland.
Police say she was stealing Vicodin and Oxyxodone and replacing it with with other medications such as allergy medicine, mild blood pressure medicine, and Tylenol.

Towle had worked at the facility for the past six years.

Currently, she’s charged with stealing drugs, a Class C felony. Authorities say the investigation is continuing and more charges may be forthcoming against Towle, once the case is reviewed by the District Attorney’s Office. At this time, the exact amount of pills stolen, along with there respective values, is yet to be determined.

Towle is due in court in April.
