Sunny, Breezy & Chilly Today, More Seasonable Friday

From the TV 5 Forecast Center:

High pressure will bring us a mostly sunny day today. Temperatures will remain chilly with highs in the teens to low 20s. Skies will be mostly clear tonight with a few clouds moving in after midnight mainly around Bangor south and west as a disturbance approaches from the west. Nighttime lows will bottom out a couple degrees either side of zero, coldest over northern locales.

High pressure will move east of the area Friday which will turn our winds around to a milder south/southwesterly direction for the end of the week. Temperatures on Friday will top off in the 20s to around 30° which is exactly where our temperatures should be for this time of year. Milder, above average temperatures are expected Saturday with highs in the upper 30s to mid-40s. Low pressure passing to our west on Saturday will give us a chance for some rain and mixed rain/snow showers Saturday afternoon followed by steadier and heavier rain for the entire state Saturday night and early Sunday. The storm will move to our east Sunday morning followed by drier and brighter weather for the afternoon. Temperatures will remain above average in the wake of the storm with highs in the 30s to around 40° Sunday afternoon. High pressure will build in and bring us a dry and mild start to the work week on Monday.

Rest of Today: mostly sunny with highs between 16°-24°. Northwest wind 5-15 MPH.

Tonight: mostly clear. A few clouds will move in after midnight especially around Bangor points south and west. Lows between -8° to +9°, coldest north. Light and variable wind.

Friday: partly to mostly cloudy, most sun north. A few afternoon and evening snow showers possible along the coast. Seasonable with highs between 21°-30°. Southwest wind 5-10 MPH.

Saturday: becoming cloudy with afternoon rain and mixed rain/snow showers possible. Milder with highs in the upper 30s to mid-40s.

Sunday: morning rain and mix ending. Brightening skies during the afternoon. Highs in the 30s to around 40°.
